The 2025 Satellite Events Are In The Books

The end-of-October continuing education events in Rockwall, TX, and Appleton, WI, brought the 2025 satellite events to a close (except for the assignments that the for-credit students will be working on in November and early December).

In 2025 there were nine satellite events in eight districts of WELS. We are thankful for the faithful efforts of all the planners in the districts. Nicely done!

What were the biggest challenge and the biggest victory at these continuing education events? The biggest challenge was the technology in the registration process. We apologize for the trouble that caused you. Thank you for your feedback and patience. We are committed to resolving these text issues by 2027.

The best victory was this: As brothers we gathered around God’s Word to talk about him, his plan of salvation in Christ Jesus, his people (the church), and the responsibilities placed into our hands as stewards in his house and shepherds among his people. Pastors reported being encouraged in their faith, equipped in ministry skills, and filled with mission zeal. All thanks and praise be to the Lord!

Looking ahead, please take note of two things:

  1. In 2026 Summer Quarter is on campus, June 15-19 and June 22-26, 2026. You are cordially invited and encouraged to attend.
  2. In 2027 it will be time for continuing education events in the districts again. The Grow in Grace office is working with your district planners to determine how the 2027 events might be different. That might include the elimination of for-credit courses (and post-course assignments). Course registration might also be done through the district. Stay tuned.

Your ideas for 2027 are welcome. Contact us at growingrace@wls.edu.
