Friends of the Seminary Day to be held
Our Friends of the Seminary Day will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016.
Sponsored by the WLS Auxiliary, this annual event highlights the way your gifts help WLS support the worldwide mission of WELS. You’ll hear about students and professors who serve in mission fields.
The student speaker will be Adam Lambrecht. He served as a staff minister for 10 years, first in Farmington, New Mexico, doing youth and outreach programs with the Navajo Lutheran Ministry. He also served in Battlement Mesa, Colorado Springs, and Pueblo West, Colorado. He graduated from Iowa State University in 2002 and volunteered with WELS Kingdom Workers, which is how he got his start in New Mexico. In 2013, he and his family decided to begin his pastoral ministry studies.
Attendees will also hear from Professor Earle Treptow, who joined the faculty in February 2016. Before then he served at Zion, Denver, and also as president of the Nebraska District.
Registration and coffee hour begins at 8 a.m. in the auditorium. Worship with members of the Seminary Chorus begins at 9 a.m. After the presentations, a light lunch, included in the $10 registration fee, will be served. Guided tours of the campus will follow. Northwestern Publishing House will also have a selection of books and gift items available for purchase.
Please send your name, address, telephone number, and home congregation along with your registration fee to the attention of Lori Guse at 11831 N Seminary Drive, Mequon WI 53092, no later than September 23. For more information, contact Lori at 262.242.8104 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
