Caring for Ourselves to Care for Others: Body and Soul

Caring for Ourselves to Care for Others: Body and Soul

Presenter: Sally Valleskey

“I care about you!” How special when we’re on the receiving end of that kind of message! Something we all need to hear. Something we’re called on to tell others—especially in ministry. Caring for ourselves to care for others…that’s what this workshop is about. How do we avoid the “burn-out” of all the caring we’re called to give…in our home, at work, in our congregation, and especially as a pastor’s wife? How does renewal happen? There’s nothing like being together with Jesus, the ultimate “care giver,” and being with each other around God’s Word.  In this workshop we’ll give and receive care, explore ways of being refreshed in the unique callings we’ve been given, and find new joy in saying to others “I care about you!”
