Jonathan Micheel

Biography:
Jon Micheel teaches homiletics and church history at the seminary, where he began serving in 2020. Before coming to the seminary, he served as a parish pastor for twenty-two years in Modesto, California and Taylorsville, Utah (Salt Lake City metro area). He chaired the rites (liturgy) committee and was a member of the executive committee for the "Christian Worship: Hymnal" project from 2013 to 2021, and he authored several chapters in "Christian Worship: Foundations." He is a doctoral candidate at Concordia Seminary in the area of Theology and Culture, with an emphasis on homiletics. Jon is married to Cheryl, an educator working at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School. They have been blessed with four children.
