A Confessional Lutheran Approach to Leadership
Instructor: E. Allen Sorum
Description:
Lutheran pastors and spiritual leaders have been entrusted with a distinctive hermeneutical approach to Scripture, a cherished esteem for what Luther called the Chief Article, and a commitment to Law and Gospel as our primary ministry tools. How do these expressions of our Reformation heritage demonstrate themselves in the leadership we offer to God’s people? In view of Reformation doctrines like the Universal Priesthood and Christian Vocation, what kind of leadership lessons might we share with our people? How can we appropriately use the Bible as the basis for our leadership lessons? Join us for study and discussion of topics like these in a fraternal atmosphere where iron can sharpen iron.
