Church Architecture

This course will enable participants to study an overview of ecclesiastical spaces in which Christians have gathered for public worship since the early New Testament era. It will allow students to make an assessment of various designs in the light of the objectives of Lutheran worship and will offer suggestions for financing a major building project. When the course is taken on campus, it will include a tour of significant churches in the Milwaukee area if it can be scheduled.
