Luther’s Transformation of the Medieval Church

Instructor: Joel Otto

While C. P. Krauth described the Reformation of Martin Luther as conservative, the reforms he introduced were transformational in many ways. After an overview of the medieval church at the dawn of the 16th century, this presentation will examine Luther's transformation of the medieval church in the areas of education, worship, and pastoral care with observations and applications for 21st century Lutheran pastors.
