Principles and Practices of Adult Education

Instructor: Tom Kock

Description:
Looking for an eminently practical course on how to write and teach adult Bible studies? Principles and Practices will be that course, as it will primarily focus our attention on the “nuts and bolts” of writing and teaching adult Bible studies. We’ll consider such issues as establishing classroom atmosphere and the role of the learner/teacher. We’ll explore and practice writing various aspects of a Bible study, such as writing an introduction, crafting various kinds of questions, creating learning activities, etc. While we’ll approach this course from an adult-learning perspective, we’ll be able to apply much of what we learn to teaching youth and/or confirmation class.
