Description:
This course will focus on the interpretation and application of the text. Preparing to teach the book to an adult bible class will be the major aim of the course. About one third of the course will be spent on the basic issues and difficulties in interpreting this book. During the remainder of the course the instructor will lead a discussion of individual chapters of the book, based on the Hebrew text. Ability in Hebrew is therefore desirable, but not required. Participants who do not prepare the Hebrew daily will be required to read commentaries in place of the Hebrew preparation. Non-Hebrew students took the course last time it was offered.
