Compelled Groundbreaking Scheduled

Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary (WLS) has faithfully carried out its mission of pastors forming pastors to proclaim God’s praise. WLS equips future pastors to shepherd congregations and share the hope of the changeless gospel in a changing world.

While the seminary’s mission remains constant, the facilities used to support that mission are increasingly outdated. These limitations hinder collaboration, restrict flexibility in teaching, and do not reflect the importance of the pastoral calling being cultivated within the seminary’s walls.

To address these needs, WLS has launched a campus expansion and renovation designed to strengthen the formation of future pastors. The centerpiece of this effort is a new education center that will provide modern, well-designed spaces for teaching, collaboration, and community.

Because of God’s blessings and the generosity of faithful supporters, we are excited to share an important milestone of the Compelled campaign. A groundbreaking ceremony will take place on campus May 20 at 9:10 a.m. (CDT). This event will be live streamed and we hope you will join online.

Those connected to the seminary—including faculty, staff, and students—express deep gratitude to all who have supported and will support this vision through prayers and gifts. Such partnerships demonstrate a shared commitment to the mission of proclaiming the gospel and equipping faithful shepherds for Christ’s people.
