About 40 people from around the world—Hispanic, Hmong, South Sudanese, Liberian, and Pakistani —gathered at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary on June 18-19. They learned about the resources available to help immigrants to the United States take the gospel back to their countries of origin. There were tools presented from the Congregational Assistant Program, the Pastoral Studies Institute, Multi-Language Publications, WELS technology, Christian Aid & Relief, Kingdom Workers Health & Capacity Building, and the Global Ministry Committee. Representatives from the Evangelical Lutheran Synod also participated, including Tom Kuster from Bethany Lutheran College’s Christ in Media Institute. Participants left the conference with a ministry plan and connections to mentors who will help them carry it out.
