Winterim offers expanded studies

For two weeks in January, Winterim offers students opportunities for additional work in areas of personal interest, as well as work in areas not normally part of the seminary curriculum.

This year, courses ranged from Biblical Aramaic to Post-Reformation Lutheranism, from studies on Romans and 1 Peter to Evangelism Styles, from the English Reformation to Pietism. In addition to classroom learning, eight students participated in a Spanish-immersion program in Mexico, 19 took part in an outreach effort in Utah, four traveled to Tennessee to canvas for a congregation, and nine completed independent research. We also had five pastors on campus, taking the courses and earning continuing education credits, and one who traveled to Mexico.
