Description: Reading: Matthew 2:13-15, 19-23 Joseph was called by God to defend and guard the Christchild in his most vulnerable childhood years. His noble character is evident in Scripture and he serves as quite a role model for fathers and husbands, but he still needed the Lord’s Word. Joseph relied on God to fulfill his task and he protected his family, and especially the Christchild, from all adversity. He used God’s Word and applied it to his circumstance to carefully defend the gift of the Christ.
