Description: Reading: 1 John 1:5-2:2 John had witnessed the empty tomb. He personally heard the confident testimony of Peter before the Sanhedrin. John now reveals yet another Easter blessing: fellowship. “Our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.” As those who are united to the resurrected Christ, who is light, we will no longer walk in the darkness of our sin. On this side of glory, may we never be so bold as to say we are without sin and so deceive ourselves. But covered in the blood of Christ, our sins have been forgiven; we are purified from all unrighteousness. Our joy has been made complete. In Christ, we have fellowship with God and with one another.
