Description: Reading: 2 Peter 3:8-14 The Lord is coming. He is coming like a thief and he is coming in power … and he has been coming for a long time. Why isn’t he here yet? Is he slow? Is he building up anger? No. He is waiting for you to come to repentance. Peter makes the Christian think about why the Lord has told him that he is coming and even asks the Christian what he thinks he should do. The answer is obvious: live a holy life and look forward to his coming! He has even promised us the holy life that he demands. He makes us spotless, blameless and at peace with him through a life of repentance and forgiveness of sins. Let us keep craning our necks and standing on tiptoe, busy with obedience to his Word and cherishing each proclamation of the message that helps us to prepare. Speaker: C. Lupee
