Description: Reading Luke 3:7–18 Who is Christ's enemy? Anyone who refuses the gifts of his grace, received humbly in repentant faith. John the Baptist's message was an urgent call to repentance. The coming of the Lord's judgment is near—so near, in fact, that the winnowing fork is already in his hand both to separate the chaff for unquenchable fire and to gather the wheat into his barn.
