Description: Reading Malachi 4:1–6 Malachi preached to stir the hearts of the people and to turn them from apathy. In these verses, he sets a stark contrast between "the arrogant" and "you who revere my name." The arrogant will be burned to stubble and trampled on, but for God's people, "the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings." Judgment is coming, but with this "great and dreadful day of the LORD" there is also hope and coming salvation. We wait expectantly for it. Speaker Z.
