Description: Tuesday – Acts 2:42-47 After the birth of the Christian Church–Pentecost–and on the heels of Peter’s great Pentecost sermon, 3,000 people were baptized and “added to them.” By God’s grace, all the believers had everything in common. They gathered together to praise Jesus and grow in their new-found faith. They saw people in need, so they sold what they had and, in Christian love, gave it to those who needed it. They went from place to place, growing in their faith based relationships and caring for one another. These 1st century believers laid a foundational example for 21st century Christians: Under the care, protection, and provision of the Good Shepherd, Christians gather, grow, give, and serve.
