Description: Reading James 1:17-27 (CWS) God desires nothing for us but good, and he proclaims this to us in his Word, both law and gospel. He gave us new birth by means of his word of truth and created us to be his own children. From that point in our lives he wants us to listen to his Word so that our faith may remain strong and so that we learn how to maintain the faith he has given. His Word identifies what in life to pursue and what to avoid and, therefore, how to gain the blessings that comes with the Christian life. Speaker J.
