Scripture Lesson:Luke 6:17-26
Preacher: Prof. Sam Degner
Description: Monday, February 14 Reading Luke 6:17-26 After a night of prayer on the hilltop, Jesus descends, revealing his power as the Lord’s Anointed to heal and restore. The disciples are instructed about both blessings and woes in connection with the kingdom of God. Blessing comes to those who put God first and live lives of faith, seeking to put the spiritual ahead of the physical. This faithfulness will be eternally rewarded as evidence of faith. In one of his most famous sermons Jesus teaches that the good things we seek are found in places we would least expect. Grant them the wisdom to know the things that please you and the grace and power always to accomplish them; through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
