Rather, the one who is blessed is the one who has been given the gift of faith, whose trust is in the Lord. Those who trust in themselves, and all the world offers will find ruin and destruction. Those who put their confidence in the Lord and live according to his ways will bear fruit into eternity. (There is some parallelism here with Psalm 1.)
