Scripture Lesson:John 14:1-14

Preacher: Z. Thiel

Description: Wednesday, May 1 – St. Philip and St. James, Apostles Reading           John 14:1-14 The Apostles spent about three years travelling with and learning from Jesus, their friend, their teacher, and their Messiah. Now, he was leaving them. Where was he going? How would they know the way? Couldn’t Jesus just show them the Father and let that be enough? There was still so much the disciples didn’t understand. There is much we don’t understand. Jesus speaks powerful promises to his Apostles and to us. His words have the authority of the Father, and so did the Apostles who spoke in his name. As we believe in Jesus, we will do great things that glorify his name, bearing fruits as his branches. Speaker           Z. Balge Prayer              Almighty God, your Son, Jesus Christ, revealed himself to the apostles Philip and James as the way, the truth, and the life. Grant that we also may know that truth and find in him the way that leads to eternal life; for he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
