Scripture Lesson:Luke 13:22-30

Preacher: Caleb Klatt

Description: Tuesday, August 27 Reading Luke 13:22-30 – Make every effort to enter through the narrow door. There are two points here: The door to life with God is faith alone, and only those who shed the pounds of self-righteousness will be able to enter (vs. 24). The second point is that God eventually closes to door permanently, either by ending a person’s time of grace or by death. The person who could not gain entrance must understand why (vs. 25-27). Consider vss. 28-30 carefully. For people who once knew God, part of the horror of hell is to see those who enter the kingdom. “I could have been there, but I rejected.” What unspeakably regret.
