Description: Thursday – Acts 3:19-26 Through the healing of the crippled beggar, Peter and John were able to capture the onlookers’ attention. They used this miracle from God as an opportunity to preach a message of repentance. They preached crushing law: “You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead,” to prepare the hearts of the people to repent. Then they offered the sweet comfort of the gospel: repentance brings renewal by wiping sin away and bringing refreshment through Christ. Because Christ is near, let us prepare our hearts in repentance and cling to the refreshing hope of sins forgiven and heaven opened.
