Description: Friday – 1 Peter 4:12-16 Peter’s words ring just as true today as they did in the 1st century. Painful trials and suffering abound for Christians – certainly those brothers and sisters in the faith around the world. And yet Peter expects us to rejoice in the face of these troubles? Why? Because we are not suffering as criminals or lawbreakers, but as those who are blessed to have the Spirit of God rest on them! God’s glory will soon be revealed, and when it is we who bear the name of Christ will be overjoyed because of the heavenly blessings we then inherit. Therefore, rejoice in suffering!
