Preaching from the Supplemental Lectionary

When lectionary preaching first became the norm among WELS preachers, men often followed the one-year lectionary in The Lutheran Hymnal. The Inter-Lutheran Commission on Worship three-year lectionary added more texts but had similar pros and cons as the historic series, especially with End Times preaching.
