Educational Technology for the Catechism Classroom

Description:
This course will specifically help pastors integrate educational technology into their Catechism classrooms, but the learner will find application to other teaching settings as well.
You’ll be introduced to classroom apps, websites and programs for both the novice tech user, who’s just getting started, and for the more tech savvy who’s looking for improved excellence. We’ll learn how to use technology to:
1) Set up a Learning Management System for holding Catechism classes online
2) Deepen learners’ engagement and understanding of the Biblical content
3) Personalize learning and give feedback
4) Empower student voice, collaboration and communication of Biblical truths
For the final project you will develop three tech infused Catechism lessons that can serve as prototypes for your lesson design going forward.
