Exegetical/Isagogical Study of Hebrews
Instructor: E. Allen Sorum
The objectives of this course will seek to explore the hermeneutical genius, the rhetorical majesty, the Christological depth, and the pastoral passion of the author’s message of encouragement to Hebrew Christians. Our isagogical study of this letter will help us to accomplish these objectives. Course participants will study exegetically every text from Hebrews that appears in commonly used lectionaries. The Book of Hebrews is challenging in terms of content and composition. This course will take the approach, however, that will allow each participant to proceed at the pace and depth his time allows. Hebrews is a timely and important message. Join us.
