There are big issues tearing today’s families apart: divorce, single-parent homes, misplaced priorities, etc. Even stable families are hurting. Some parents may even be terrified. Families don’t have dinner together. Congregations need help holding families together. The key is not a church program, but the home. This course will:
• Address home culture issues that are causing families to struggle in their faith and worship life.
• Address philosophy of ministry issues: What is the parent’s job? The church’s job? The school’s job?
• Allow called workers to consider what a Family Ministry Plan for their congregation might look like that encourages parents to take the lead in faith-development.
