Bible Storying

Instructor: Sam Degner

Description:
Paul told Timothy, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” Whatever spiritual goal a man of God has for himself or his people, God’s word is the tool for the task. That’s biblical.

And whatever he wants to do with that word, he can do with a Bible story. That’s the thesis of this course.

Through a study of relevant Scriptures and exposure to real-life examples, pastors will consider how they can use Bible stories for catechesis, discipleship, counseling, admonition, and especially evangelism—and how they can train their people to do the same. Their work inside and outside of the classroom will result in a Bible-story-based tool they can take home to use in their ministry.
