Description:
The New Testament proclaims Jesus Christ and his worldwide church as the fulfillment of the Old Testament Scriptures. The mission of God is implicit and explicit in the Torah, the Prophets, and the Writings. In this course we will look at the forest (in the three groves of TANAKH) and the trees. We will trace the missio Dei arc of God's revealed Word and we will take special note of books (e.g., Exodus, Isaiah, Psalms) and select passages that clearly proclaim the mission of God among and through his chosen people Israel. About 10% of the course will involve the reading and pondering of Hebrew.
