Description:
This course will make use of biblical, archeological, and historical evidence to examine the impact of Jerusalem on the history of God's people from the pre-Israelite period to modern times. The emphasis will be on the First and Second Temples, David and Solomon's Jerusalem, and Jesus in Jerusalem and on providing material which will enrich the teaching of the Bible history of these stories. There will be less-detailed coverage of Christian and Islamic Jerusalem, the Crusades, and modern Jerusalem.
