Teaching Christian Leadership in Congregations, Classrooms, and Christian Homes

Instructor: E. Allen Sorum

Description:
Christian leaders want followers under their care to become strong leaders. Pastors want to equip members to participate in the work of the church. The church needs strong leaders as well as strong followers. Christian teachers want their students to leave the Christian school with a sense of mission and purpose and service. Staff ministers work hard to build a team for aggressive congregational mission and ministry. As parents, we want to see our children equipped and encouraged to take on the world and not defeated by the world. This course will use a biblical approach to understand and to identify and to teach Christian spiritual leadership in a way that equips followers for their vocations that require leadership. Participants will look at leadership from a variety of perspectives. Participants will leave this course with a clear plan for developing their own leadership attitudes and skills as well as a clear plan for modeling and mentoring leadership for those in their care.
